Stop Finding Happiness in the Same Place You Lost it

Opening yourself to new experiences is never a bad idea.

All of us are out to explore ourselves- in relationships, jobs, opportunities, travel- more so in our early twenties. Whatever path we choose, happiness is a resolute intent. There is no one path to happiness- it’s open to interpretation. Nevertheless, in my opinion, a point hindering our exploration is finding happiness in the same place we lost it. It can be a person, a job, a society, a field of study- whatever comes to your mind.

Drawing from personal experience, it’s hard to say goodbye and move on from anything, no matter how much you hated it at the moment. New is scary. Recently, I quit something which I knew wasn’t good for me. Albeit I was sure of my decision, it was arduous to make the final call; I even considered not quitting. But, I knew that it wasn’t worth it and I was merely afraid to finally let go. I couldn’t be happier that I did because I found a new comfort and field.

Something about sunflowers makes me happy.

I think that is precisely what holds us back. We are afraid to quit because it’s different from what we have known. It’s simple to go back and live in the same state. It’s known and comfortable. However, if you keep finding happiness in the same place you lost it, it’s going to be much more formidable to take the leap.

So, I would say, take it. If you’re going back because you don’t have anything else to explore, you’re wrong. Unless you quit you won’t see the myriad of opportunities waiting for you. Not having anything else is never a good reason to throw away your mental peace. Give quitting a chance, maybe you’ll like it.  Sometimes, a break is what you need. If it is supposed to happen, it will. The timing may not be right at the moment.

In a nutshell, stop finding happiness in the same place and set out to explore.

  1. Nice one yaarr….
Quitting is not bad as what everyone thinks ….
People takes it on their ego….
And the people or the society who surrounds them also pressurises one to not to quit..
Or may be they pressurises themselves thinking about what the society will think ….
Not always quitting means you are giving up on something….
Instead you are exploring the new things by quitting the ongoing things for better development of yourselves…
Really very nicely written 😊😊😊 😊😊😊😊😊 keep writing 👍😃
